South African entrepreneur Hassim is preparing to launch SweetBot Café in 2027, a futuristic dessert destination designed to bring technology, creativity, and global flavours together under one roof.

Backed by the Hassim, Gani, Khan and Hamid families, the upcoming café is being developed as a bold new concept for South Africa’s dessert and food entertainment space.

At just 25 years old, Hassim has already built a reputation for bold ideas, including introducing the viral mango trend to South Africa. Now, the young entrepreneur is preparing to take her next step with a concept aimed at changing how South Africans experience desserts, sweets, and interactive food entertainment.

SweetBot Café is planned as far more than a traditional café. The concept will feature robots delivering desserts directly to customers’ tables, imported sweets sourced from around the world, live-made specialty ice cream creations, and interactive candy gifting experiences.

Customers will be able to taste treats from different countries, design their own ice cream creations in almost any shape imaginable, and watch robotic technology package custom candy gifts in real time.

The café is expected to offer personalised dessert designs ranging from flowers and animals to imaginative custom concepts, giving customers the chance to turn their own ideas into edible creations.

The café will introduce immersive themed environments, including global “taste zones” inspired by different countries, seasonal flavour rooms, and interactive sensory elements such as scent effects and temperature-controlled dining spaces.

Guests may also experience dessert VR journeys that simulate global food cultures while tasting matching desserts.

Personalisation will be central to the concept. Each customer will build a digital flavour profile that tracks preferences and unlocks tailored recommendations, signature creations, and secret menu items. A loyalty system will further enhance engagement, gradually revealing exclusive desserts and experiences over time.

SweetBot Café will also focus heavily on shareable, viral design. Features may include colour-changing desserts, dramatic live dessert-making performances, mystery dessert boxes, and “Golden Ticket” creations offering surprise rewards or experiences. A rotating “Wall of Sweet Innovation” will showcase customer-designed desserts in both physical and digital formats.

To encourage global exploration, the café will launch monthly “Global Taste Drops,” featuring limited-edition desserts inspired by different countries. These drops are designed to create anticipation, repeat visits, and cultural discovery through food. The brand also plans collaborative releases with international chefs, creators, and dessert innovators.

The inspiration behind SweetBot Café comes from Hassim’s goal of making international food experiences more accessible. While many people dream of travelling the world to experience global dessert trends first-hand, not everyone has the opportunity to do so. SweetBot Café aims to bring a taste of that experience closer to home.

Hassim’s entrepreneurial journey has also been shaped by resilience. While travelling between South Africa and the United Arab Emirates, she has faced personal and health-related challenges, yet has continued building businesses and pursuing new ventures.

Known for maintaining a private lifestyle and letting her work speak for itself, Hassim has quietly developed multiple business ideas while preparing for the launch.

The upcoming café is expected to generate strong public interest ahead of its official opening, particularly among dessert lovers, families, content creators, and customers seeking a unique experience that blends food, technology, and entertainment.

With its mix of robotic service, international sweets, and fully custom dessert design, SweetBot Café is being positioned as an immersive destination rather than just another dessert shop.

The official launch is planned for 2027, with more details about Hassim’s journey and the development of SweetBot Café expected to be revealed closer to opening.
